Safeguarding Policy
How JPL protects children and young people across the platform.
This policy is in active development and will be reviewed before public launch. It reflects the safeguarding practices already built into the platform.
1. Our Commitment
The welfare of children is our highest priority. JPL follows safeguarding best practice across every part of the platform.
2. Privacy of Minors
Player personal information is never shown publicly, no advertising appears on under-18 profiles, and actual scores for standard youth matches are not published (results show as win, loss or level only) — with the Foundation Phase exception.
3. Communication
Adults must never message under-18 players directly. All coach communication regarding under-18s is routed through the player’s parent or guardian.
4. Accreditation
Coaches working with minors must pass our accreditation checks before they are approved to do so.
5. Reporting Concerns
Any safeguarding concern can be reported through the in-platform Report Concern / Report Incident tools, which route directly to the league administration.
6. Data Protection
Personal data is processed under Bahrain’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 30 of 2018), with sensitive verification documents stored privately and separately from public profile content.
